VIRAL ACTS: BE PREPARED TO GET SICK

Who are we?

We are a group of 3 creative people who desire to make an impact in the advertising industry.


What inspired us?

We are inspired by the philosophy of Virus Communications agency which is ‘Contagious Advertising’ and with that we came up with Viral Acts.


What is Viral Acts?

Using the philosophy, we came up with the idea Contagious Virus. The most common virus is flu. Hence, we aim to gather a lot of people at a certain time and place to sneeze together.


How do we spread the news?

We use various ways.

  • Facebook
  • Blog
  • Windows Messenger (MSN)
  • E-mails
  • SMS
  • Phone calls
  • IRC


Why do we use these methods?

It is more effective and reaches out to more people.


What is the connection with the main big idea?

Our big idea is Contagious.

Contagious = Virus = Flu = Sneeze = Easily infect/spread to others

To demonstrate how effective viral advertising can be.


Do we have a step-by-step method?

  1. Group and blog made to invite people to view and join. Details are not given out.
    • A group is made in Facebook
    • A blog is made, and posted together with Facebook.
    • Messages are being sent with various methods
  2. Information about what we are doing is posted in both the blog and Facebook. More invitations were sent out. Number of members in the Facebook group are increasing by day.
  3. Finalized information and details. Details of the event is posted, and sent out. We encouraged members to bring their friends and family along to participate.
  4. Event was held with volunteers in helping us to get the large group of people together.
  5. Finally, updated Facebook and blog. Posted details that we are actually aiming to win the Student Kancil Awards by doing all these.


What is so special about us?

We are a group of 3 very creative people, powerful with our networking and ideas in producing the best way of advertising. We have the brains and solutions to whatever that blocks our path. We know what is the trend today, and use that as an advantage in everything we do, and make the best out of it.
